CONFIRMATION PROGRAM

STUDENTS MUST ATTEND MASS ON WEEKENDS AND HOLY DAYS.

Mass schedule:
St. Leo Church                           Prince of Peace Church
4:00 PM    Saturday                    5:30 PM   Saturday
9:00 AM    Sunday                      11:30 AM, 6:00 PM Sunday

*Students sign the book in the sacristy each time they attend Mass.  There is a book at both worship sites.  Weekly Mass participation is required.

REGULAR CLASSES:
Classes are held on the second and fourth week of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Faith Formation Center at the St. Leo site.  Students are allowed 2 absences.  All missed work must be made up.  Please check with the catechists if your child is absent.  This program involves important sacramental preparation.

II.  Enrollment Mass Saturday, December 5 @ 5:30 PM – Prince of Peace site
III. *Parent/Candidate Teaching Mass January 11 (Monday) or January 13 (Wednesday)
IV. *Sponsor/Candidate Workshop March 8 (Monday) or March 10 (Wednesday)
V.  Youth Activity – student’s choice (one or more)
OR
Participate in the Youth Leadership Group (meets on the first and third Sunday of each month
at 7:00 PM in the St. Vincent de Paul Youth Center
VI.Service Activity – student’s choice (at least two)
PLUS
Daily Service Journal (work on in class)
VII. Confirmation Retreat (choose one)(Dates to be announced)
       The Holy Spirit and Music
       A Servant Leader’s Heart
       Life in the Spirit for Teens and Young Adults (must attend all five sessions)
       (To be held at St. Stephens on Grand Island)
       Traditional Confirmation Retreat
VII. Confirmation Penance Service/Rehearsal (to be held the evening before the Confirmation Ceremony)

As we mature as Christians, let us follow the example of Jesus through worship (Luke 4:16), prayer (Matthew 14:23), learning (Luke 2:46, 47), service (John 13:12-15), community (Matthew 18:20) and commitment (Luke 23:33, 34).
